Turn signal fails to cancel after manoevre

My right-hand turn signal often fails to cancel after the manoeuvre - is this something I can fix
myself or is a specialist needed.

Advice appreciated.

I have a year 2000 3.8 manual gearbox Mustang.

Thanks

You need a new multifunction switch. Thats the proper name for it. Most people call it a turn signal switch. Potato potato. Its easy to change. Takes about an hour under normal circumstances. You'll need a phillips head screwdrive, a flat head screwdriver and torx bits.

Thanks for that.
I had hoped that an adjustment could be made to the existing fitting, but hey-ho.
I live in Spain and parts are difficult to get and very expensive and, would you believe,
I have just returned from a holiday in California - could have bought it there.....
Appreciate you taking the trouble to reply.

If I am correct, the part used is also used on some other ford models, so you may be able to get it a little easier that way, if you can find the part number and cross check it.
