To replace my computer or not?

Okay... so basically my laptop is a piece of **** and I just want some opinions on it. I need to know whether it's worth getting fixed or if I should just buy a new one. Here's a list of the current problems:

- keyboard doesn't work (spilt vodka on it )
- left click button is caved in
- it's slow as ****
- disk drive is broken
- I am unable to download anything without the computer spazzing so basically my plan (if I decide to fix it) is to clear it all out and start over
- I can't seem to delete or uninstall any programs or my computer won't load and has to restore all the programs back to work again
- it doesn't turn on normally... when it hits the first loading screen it beeps and I have to go into menu and fiddle around before it will fully load

So basically... with all these problems is it worth fixing (it is still under warranty) or should I look into replacing it?

All opinions are welcome. I've been asking a bunch of people to see whether it's worth it or not.

EDIT: It's an Acer Aspire 1500 so it's not the best computer to begin with.

Some pics from about a month ago when I was trying to fix the keyboard:

what will the warrenty cover?

The sad part is I have no idea... my mom lost it so I'm in the process of looking for it. I believe it will covering most of the problems, but I don't think it will cover the keyboard or the disk drive which are the important things for me. I can deal with the start up for the time being.

this could be trouble, how much of it doesn't work?
- left click button is caved in
no worries, use a mouse
- it's slow as ****
reformat
- disk drive is broken
define broken, this probably means its not worth keeping
- I am unable to download anything without the computer spazzing so basically my plan (if I decide to fix it) is to clear it all out and start over
yep, reformat

I'd say the keyboard and disk drive issues are too huge and I'd send it in to get fixed since you are under warranty. Depends on how much it's worth and whatnot and if they'd even fix all that stuff. They'd probably say it's not normal wear and tear.

Dumbass. That's you.
if you need a new one- dell.

with the warrenty i got, i could go into my room right now and smash it with a hammer, and they would replace it

Well I just bought a new laptop and I could not be any happier :) :) :) :) :)

Asus M50Sv-A1 I would recommend it so far!!!!

2 year warrenty with free 2 day ups service both ways!
1 year if you drop it or damage it they will replace it!

I don't think your computer is worth fixing.

Keyboard = $100+
CD drive $50+
Left click is unknown price, but sure will cost some good money....
And everything else sounds like you have a pos lol.

As far as the keyboard goes the numbers/letters either don't work or stick so if I want to type "I am bored" it comes out like this " \am \cboed".

Give us the link to the laptop or at least the brand and model that you have.

I just want to see what you had/have

Well I took apart a laptop before and was able to put it all back together and I don't recommend it lol.

So many screws and other small parts it takes at least 10 times longer than putting together a PC.

I see you already started lol.

I would just say **** it and buy a new computer. You can get a nice new one for under $600 or so. Not sure what your price range is.

I would say next time don't drink and type lol ;)

You might have got some liquid into the cd drive and killed the lazer? anything is possible when you spill crap on a laptop.

that keyboard is honestly 60 bucks to replace, I priced one for a friend, when I took and replaced the battery ac to dc board and the ac to dc power jack in it. Those totaled of 60 bucks together. His was a compaq though, but the prices are about the same for all of them to have parts replaced. Same boards just supplied to different companies. Your disk drive you may need to clean the lens though. if you werent half way across the US i'd be glad to see what I could do with it for ya.
