Slower turn signal flasher?

I have sequential tail lights, and they sequence too fast for my taste. Is there a slower flasher I can use to slow it down? Will they sequence slower with said flasher?

heres a video of them so you can see for yourself (sorry about the quality, only video camera I have is my cellphone ) :

the more resistance in the circuit the slower it flasher, which is why when one bulb blows out it flashes faster because there is less resistance. so adding a resistor should slow it down. i havent ever done it before but i thought about doing it for mine.

I would make sure to use a electronic flasher that is LED bulb rated. Even if you aren't using LED bulbs the electronics of the sequential unit will have a similar amp draw.

there are 2 different types of Sequential signals.
there are the regular sequentials which are fast like yours and then there are the "chasers" that slow down the over all speed of the flashing. I really only see them on the SN197s.

email or call these guys. http://www.webelectricproducts.com. he will build and ship you a new flasher that blinks slower. i dont remember how much it cost me but it wasnt much at all. the install is very easy too. just unplug the old flasher from under the steering column and plug in the new.

woot, thanks. Mine are webelectricproducts modules (just older ones, bought them used off an old guy locally) so hopefully they'll be able to set me up.

Muchas gracias fellas

Small update (incase anyone is in the same situation as I am)

Webelectricproducts will modify your flasher. The cost is $30 including shipping and you have to provide your own flasher.

wow, i dont remember it being that much and i know i didnt have to provide my own flasher. i still have my original somewhere. i guess things have changed.

Yeah, its a little expensive for me ($30 + shipping to them + $15 for the flasher = ~$50). Which is more than I spent on the sequentials

I may do it in the spring, but IDK. I can live with it and im pretty broke after buying new wheels + tires.

$30 for round-trip shipping and the half-hour tops it would take to solder in a $0.20 resistor from Radio Shack sounds pretty reasonable to me, as long as the guy guarantees the work and knows how to solder really well...
