Hello everyone,
I have a (used) 2011 Ford Mustang V6 (about 26,000 miles on the odometer). I've had it for about 2 months and it hasn't been driven a whole lot. About two days ago, after firing up the ignition, I began hearing an intermittent sound inside the cabin -- which can best be described as the kind of sound a fan would generate if one there were an obstruction in its blades. Thinking that this was an issue with the AC fan blower, I decided to drive the car back home without the AC.
The sound is generated if the engine has been off for a while and is restarted. But one can hear the sound even when the fan *and* AC are switched off. I popped the hood and started the engine, but it is very clear that the sound is being generated closer to the interior of the car and not under the hood per se.
I plan to take the car to a mechanic or to Ford in the next 24-48 hours. But I was wondering if someone has faced something similar and could give me some advice.
Thanks!
